What to Bring

One bottle you already have

A few simple foods from your kitchen

A wine glass and water

What You'll Need

About 60 minutes

The conversation afterward is optional

Curiosity, not expertise

Limited to 12 Participants

We intentionally keep the Table small so everyone has space to ask questions, share observations, and participate in the conversation.

The website introduced the ideas.

The Monthly Table is where you'll experience them for yourself.

Think of it as a bottle share—with a guide.

Everyone arrives with a different wine.

That's part of what makes the Table interesting.

I'll give us something to explore, and we'll taste together. You'll hear what someone else notices. You'll try something with your own wine. Someone will ask a question that sends us somewhere unexpected.

And because everyone's glass is different, we get to see the same idea play out in completely different ways.

You might discover why a pairing suddenly works.

You might understand something you've tasted for years but never had words for.

Or you might simply leave wanting to try something else tomorrow.

That's the point.

Wine gets much more interesting when you give yourself permission to play.

What Can Click in One Evening

~ Ginny
WSET-2

"I realized I had been looking at wine as a stand-alone item instead of one part of the whole picture. Something as simple as finally understanding what acidity actually does gave more meaning to what I was tasting and much less confusion. It was almost like relearning how my own mouth works."

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know anything about wine?

No. This is designed for curious wine lovers, of all ranges of experience.

Do I need a specific bottle?

No. Bring one wine — any wine.

Do I have to talk on camera?

No. You can participate as much or as little as you like, though the group is small enough for conversation.

What if I can’t attend live?

A replay is included, but attending live is best if you want to ask questions and hear what others notice in real time.

Will everyone be drinking the same wine?

Everyone brings whatever bottle they already have. We'll explore the same ideas through different wines, which gives us even more to notice, compare, and talk about.

What if I already know quite a bit about wine?

Come anyway.

The Table isn't built around a level of expertise. Beginners and experienced wine lovers can explore the same question and notice completely different things.

That's part of what makes the conversation interesting.

If you're unsure whether the Monthly Table is right for you, just reply to any email or send me a note. I'm always happy to help you decide if it's a good fit.

About Your Host, Anne Kjellgren

Your Image

I've spent years studying wine.

But what interests me most isn't how much there is to know.

It's what happens when someone begins to notice.

A wine changes after a bite of food.

A familiar flavor suddenly has an explanation.

Someone asks a question—and the answer connects science, history, food, place and what's happening right there in the glass.

That's what I love.

My job at the Monthly Table isn't to tell you what you're supposed to taste.

It's to help you notice what you're already experiencing, understand why it actually matters, and give you somewhere interesting to go next.

I hold professional credentials including WSET Level 3, Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW), French Wine Scholar and Certified Sherry Wine Specialist, and I've created bespoke wine experiences commissioned at up to $650 per guest.

But at the Table, none of that is the point.

You bring the wine.
You bring the questions.
I'll bring the guidance.

And we'll see what we discover together.

Wednesday night, pull up a chair.

You already have the wine.

You already have what you need in the kitchen.

And you certainly don't need to study anything before you arrive.

Just come curious.
